Fall Classic Awards

George Perry Cup – Most Valuable Fisherman

The George Perry Cup is the ultimate prize for all New York anglers.  This annual trophy recognizes that individual fisherman who proves to be the most valuable fisherman for both his team and the crew as a whole.

George Perry is credited for landing the world record 22-pound, 4-ounce largemouth in 1932 that spawned a global, multibillion recreation industry.

Ansel Adams Award– Best Trip Photographer

The Ansel Adams Award is given to the angler that best displays a natural gift for capturing the essence of that year’s trip.

Ansel Adams was an American photographer and environmentalist, best known for his black and white photographs of the American West.  His work became the foremost record of what many of the National Parks were like before tourism, and his persistent advocacy helped expand the National Park system.

Glaucus Award – Most Valuable Netter

The Glaucus Award is given to the angler that most helps his crewmates snag fish that might otherwise be lost back to the deep.   Special consideration is given to the angler that dives, jumps and performs full body extensions.

Glaucus is the Greek god of fisherman.  Need I say more?
